L’Antigo Granaro arises from Hélène and Filippo’s desire to welcome guests into their home in the countryside of Agugliano, near Ancona. The structure includes six spacious rooms with private bathrooms, five in the villa and one in the annex. If you’re looking for an alternative to the classic B&Bs in Ancona, L’Antigo Granaro is ready to offer you a relaxing stay in contact with nature, culture, and local traditions just a few kilometers from the fantastic Riviera del Conero. Our philosophy is based on the concept of a maison d’hotes, a particular form of French hospitality in which guests and hosts share the same spaces during the day and meals. Here you can fully experience the typical aspects of the Marche region and savor the genuine products from the farm, cooked with passion by Filippo following Marche tradition.

The structure is furnished with antique furniture, soft lights, paintings, and carpets from around the world. Under the wrought-iron patio covered with reeds, it is possible to relax during the hottest hours. A large one-hectare garden with olive trees, roses, and native fruit plants frames this structure. Their family life, along with their daughter Giulia, will be a backdrop to your stay. Hélène, of French origin, has been living in Italy for twenty years, speaks fluent English, French, and Italian. Passionate about music and art, she is always ready to share her passions. Filippo, a true local (marchigiano DOC), was born on the Riviera del Conero, where he spent much of his life. Proud of his origins, he knows the places and history of the Marche very well and will be happy to guide you in their discovery. Both love to travel, and their passion has taken them around the world, leaving traces of countless distant cultures in their home.

Excellent Hospitality and Vegetarian Friendly
Truly a memorable experience! Normally I don’t really stay at b&b’s; as I really want some privacy etc.; but this is just amazing. The way the owners welcome and treat you during the days you’re there is just fantastic. A good balance between genuine hospitality and independence.

The property is beautiful; as is the pool and the surroundings. The breakfast is just special as a lot of the products are locally made and baked by the owners and it’s all fresh. Especially the bread…..wow!

As we are vegetarians it’s not always easy to find something in this area; but the owner who has been a chef for his whole life has had 20+ years experience cooking vegetarian meals. Wow; what a delight; such quality. Fresh, interesting, innovative; just delicious.

The pool is of exceptional quality which we really enjoyed. If we felt like an espresso or capuccino……they come and serve it right by the pool….and for free!!

All in all; we enjoyed this a lot and would most certainly come back just to relax, eat, drink and swim.

Thank you for your genuine hospitality and the special treatments (we got an extra little basket of home made biscotti on our way out just because she knew we loved it…)
